Graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration program will be able to:

Approximate Time to Complete: Full-Time: 4 years (8 semesters) 

General education courses provide students with a strong foundation in essential skills and knowledge, fostering life-long learning and effective communication. These courses cover core competencies, including study skills, business communications, business mathematics, political science, art and science, world religions, interpersonal relationship skills, human behavior, and the humanities. The goal is to equip students with an understanding of diverse cultures, perspectives, and the critical skills needed for personal and professional growth. 

General education courses are designated with a “GE” prefix as part of the course number, while all other courses are categorized as concentration courses. 

The Business Administration program offers courses designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage people, resources, and organizational operations to achieve strategic goals. Coursework covers key topics such as Organizational Management: Coordinating teams and resources, understanding organizational structures, and implementing systems for planning and control. Financial Management: Allocating resources, managing cash flow, and ensuring financial viability without relying on accounting-specific methods. Leadership and Communication: Developing leadership skills, improving interoffice communication systems, and enhancing executive decisionmaking. Business Strategy and Operations: Learning organizational theory, troubleshooting operational challenges, designing efficient structures, and increasing organizational efficiency. Marketing and Public Relations: Conducting surveys, managing public relations initiatives, and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies. Business Ethics and Policy: Writing clear company policies, planning programs, and applying ethical decision-making practices.

 

The program emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications. Students will complete practical assignments and final exams in each course, with many courses incorporating faculty-supervised projects. These projects require students to directly apply their skills within a business or organizational environment.

 

The degree culminates in a final capstone project, where students must demonstrate their ability to synthesize and apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program to solve real-world business challenges.
